This December we ring in the holidays with two magnificent candlelight concert performances of Handel's
Messiah. Revel in the sound of the renowned Saint Clement Choir with an orchestra of period instruments, and experience
Messiah as the composer himself heard it! These concerts are presented in “historic” fashion, utilizing an orchestra of period instruments and featuring the complete Messiah score, including passages not often heard in other performances.
These are the only period-instrument Messiah concerts in the entire Midwest this season! The choir is joined by an orchestra of the Midwest's finest baroque instrumentalists and crowned by the artistry of four magnificent soloists under the baton of music director Randall Swanson, who celebrates his 20th year at Saint Clement this season. Don't miss this chance to thrill to the sound of Handel’s greatest masterpiece, and experience
Messiah’s powerful message of hope, joy and redemption!
Performance duration for these candlelight concerts is about two hours and thirty-five minutes, including one intermission.
