Advent Reconciliation with Taizé and Contemplative Prayer
Tuesday, December 15, at 7pm, in the Church
In this season of preparation, we are compelled to clear our minds and open our hearts to the grace of the coming of our Lord. We are invited to release our spirits from all that hinders our relationship with God. By reconciling with our neighbors, our church and ourselves we respond to God's invitation.
Our communal reconciliation service will be filled with prayer and beautiful contemplative music in the midst of candlelight. Together we will examine our lives and ask for forgiveness from the burdens that afflict us each day. Along with the meditative prayer, we will have the opportunity for individual confession with a priest in the sacrament of reconciliation.
Even if you are not ready for confession with a priest, you are invited to contemplate reconciliation as you prepare for Christmas. This liturgy will allow you to take some quiet and prayerful time during this busy season so that you may examine yourself and your relationships while preparing for God’s coming. All are welcome.
