Our Parish About Us photobar

The Parish Council, in addition to being the central coordinating group of the parish, is responsible for visioning, long-range planning and policy decisions of the parish and serves in an advisory role to the Pastor. Members are invited to serve for three-year terms by the Pastor. These leaders represent the diversity of our parish community.

Parish Council Member Profiles

Peggy Myles joined the Council in 2006 and has been a member of the Parish for over 20 years.

Other Parish involvements:
I have served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. As part of the Centennial Celebrations, I helped organize Sharing the Journey and am currently a small faith group leader.

When I'm not at Saint Clement:
I'm a middle market banker at JPMorgan Chase. I enjoy spending time with my family (8 nieces and nephews and 8 great-nieces and nephews) and friends. I enjoy traveling, reading, playing card and word games and an occasional round of golf.

What Saint Clement means to me:
Saint Clement is where I feel at peace. It is a very welcoming and accepting community which helps me keep my perspective of what is truly important in this world.

Kim Blazek Dahlborn joined the Council in 2006.  She has been a parishioner since 1992; that same year she and her husband, Bill, were married at Saint Clement.

Other Parish involvement:
Kim worked on marketing initiatives for the Centennial and Sharing the Journey programs. She is a member of Clement Moms and assisted with the Jesse Tree project. She and her husband have been Pre-Cana leaders for about ten years.

When I’m not at Saint Clement I’m…
the mother of two children, Liam and Lily; I also manage a national public relations firm. In my spare time I enjoy golf, yoga, cooking and traveling.

What Saint Clement means to me:
Saint Clement is the heart of our family, the place where we practice and experience Christian life. Our faith is stronger because of the relations we have built through the Parish; we truly belong to a community. Our family has so many memories from Saint Clement... the place where we have celebrated many of life's major events, including our wedding and the baptism of both of our children, but it is also the place to watch our family grow and grow up. We have traditions because of Saint Clement and look forward to many more.

J.P Gallagher joined the Council in 2006. He and his wife, Krista, have been parishioners for six years.

Other Parish involvement:
I served as co-leader for the Sharing the Journey discussion groups.

What Saint Clement means to me:
Saint Clement is both a community and source of spiritual renewal for me. My wife and I have developed many important friendships within the parish, in addition to sharing important family milestones at Saint Clement. It is a place where I can reflect, recharge my batteries, and keep my life in perspective.

When I'm not at Saint Clement I'm…
A hospital administrator with Evanston Northwestern Healthcare. My wife and I enjoy our spare time with our daughter, Lauren, and our twins, born this past fall.  Past hobbies (recently displaced by Gymboree and daily trips to our neighborhood park) have included triathlons, running, golf, travel and reading.

Craig Knapp joined the Parish Council in 2006 and has been a parishioner for 8 years.

Other Parish involvements:
I served on the Guiding Our Legacy Marketing Team and prior to that was on the Young Adult Leadership Team and the Theology on Tap Volunteer Group. I have worked as an Anchor Ball volunteer many times.

When I'm not at Saint Clement I'm…
When I'm not selling software for a large IT firm or doing real estate development, I spend time with my wife.

What Saint Clement means to me:
The Parish has brought my faith, family and friends closer together than I ever imagined. I've never experienced a Parish that has made it so easy to get involved and fulfilling to participate in faith and community activities.
