Theology on Tap 2010

Tuesdays, July 13, 20, 27 & August 3 at 7:00pm on the plaza

Theology on Tap (TOT) is a 4-week, outdoor speaker and conversation series for young adults in their 20s and 30s, married or single. TOT is designed to provide a welcoming and fun environment for young adults to connect with each other and engage in discussions with leaders on social, spiritual and service-related topics pertinent to our faith.

Saint Clement has one of the largest TOT programs in the Archdiocese. Last year, over 200 people participated in each session. All events will be at Saint Clement and, weather permitting, on the plaza in front of the church. We begin at 7:00pm with registration, food and drink. The program starts at 7:30pm.

Our Topics and Speakers are:

July 13 -   "Choices, Choices...Discerning God's Will
                    in Our Lives"
                    Speaker: Fr. Phil Hurley, SJ,
                    and other members of the Jesuit Mission Band

July 20   -   "Getting Real about Dating and Relationships:
                    Re-examining 'Falling in Love' and
                    'Happily Ever After'"
                    Speaker: Mr. Jason Simon

July 27 -   "Being Catholic in the Corporate World:
                    Becoming a Values-Based Leader"
                    Speaker: Mr. Harry Kraemer, Jr.

Aug 3    -    "Living 'LOST': Exploring Our Identity and
                    Faith as Today's Young Adult"
                    Speaker: Ms. Megan McDonald

TOT Finale Mass & Picnic

Mass: Sunday, August 8, 3:00pm, Holy Name Cathedral

Picnic: 4:30pm-7:30pm at Cardinal's Residence

Come together with Theology on Tap participants throughout the archdiocese as we celebrate the close of the 30th season of the program we have come to know and love! The Finale Mass will take place on Sunday, August 8 at 3:00pm at Holy Name Cathedral, with a picnic immediately following (4:30-7:30pm) at the Cardinal’s Residence! Tickets can be purchased at any Theology on Tap Host Site or at the Archdiocesan Young Adult Ministry Office.

If you are a young adult interested in singing or playing an instrument in the Theology-on-Tap 2010 Ensemble, please let us know: TOTmusic@yamchicago.org or 312-466-9473. We will ask you to complete a quick survey, so we know who know who will be singing and playing what parts. Instrumentalists will need to audition. All singers and instrumentalists need to attend the mandatory rehearsal on Thursday, August 5 at Old St. Patrick’s Church, Chicago, 7-9pm. For more information, please visit www.yamchicago.org.
