Stewardship and Development Committee Mission Statement
The Saint Clement Stewardship and Development Committee will seek to cultivate an ethic of stewardship across the entire parish as a way to enhance individual participation, contribution and a feeling of ownership of Saint Clement Parish.
Core Beliefs
We believe that stewardship is part of discipleship ... the call to follow Jesus and imitate his way of life. A Christian steward is one who understands that all is gift, receives God's gifts gratefully, and shares God's gifts in justice and love with others. We also believe that a Christian steward returns God's gifts with increase to the Lord.
Course of Action
Specifically, the Stewardship and Development Committee will:
- Work to make Saint Clement a total stewardship parish by promoting the stewardship message through the liturgy, school, lay presentations, bulletin, other publications, and through our own example and encouragement.
- Develop and implement an action plan to increase support of Saint Clement ministries, programs and capital needs by identifying and acting on the most impactful opportunities.
- Develop and implement information-gathering mechanisms to support stewardship efforts, and measure our impact.
- Work with the Parish Council and other committees to continually develop and enhance strategies to increase parish resources.
