Adult Faith Formation
"The goal of Catholic evangelization is to invite a person to believe in Jesus Christ; to enfold the believer in the sacramental, communal life of the Church; and then to enable, inspire, and support a lifetime of full discipleship" (
Spreading the Holy Fire, Archdiocese of Chicago, 11).

Catholics around the nation have been drawn to the TV and DVD series
Catholicism, a rich media experience that seeks to explore, through a global journey, the living culture of the Catholic Church. With creator and host Father Robert Barron—a priest from our own Archdiocese of Chicago—viewers will learn what Catholics believe and why, while being immersed in the art, architecture, literature, beliefs, and practices of the Catholic tradition.
Saint Clement will be offering the opportunity to view this series together over the coming year, while engaging this material through lively discussion and reflection on its application to our lives of faith. Join us for all episodes or come when you can. To ensure your official Catholicism study guide, please
register online or at the parish office one week prior to the session(s) you plan to attend. Drop-ins are always welcome, but materials will not be guaranteed. A one-time suggested donation of $20 will be appreciated to help us defray the costs of this highly-acclaimed study program. Questions? Contact
Christina Bax, Pastoral Associate, for further information.

Living Faith Adult Formation
Bringing faith to life...and life to faith
Typically Second Tuesday of the Month, 6:45pm, Fireside Hall
May’s Topic: “Mother of God! The Place of Mary in Catholic Belief and Practice”
We hail Mary as the Mother of God, and as such she holds a special place in our Catholic belief and prayer. Yet our Catholic doctrine and devotion can at times confuse Catholics and non-Catholics alike! Join us on
Tuesday, May 10 as Father Manny Dorantes presents “Mother of God! The Place of Mary in Catholic Belief and Practice.” During his presentation, Father Manny will help us to unpack our understanding of this holy woman, and her place in Catholic Spirituality. All are welcome!
We will gather at
6:45pm in Saint Clement School’s
Fireside Hall (enter through the school’s north-most doors). Dinner will be served before the speaker begins at 7:00. All parishioners are welcome. If you know in advance that you will be joining us, please RSVP to
AdultFormation@stclementchurch.org so we can appropriately plan for dinner.
Living Faith is Saint Clement’s adult formation series that seeks to help adults bring their faith to life…and their lives into conversation with the faith. This monthly speaker series will resume after taking a break for the summer. Questions? Contact

Spirituality Courses
During the course of the year, the parish offers a range of offerings on bridging the gap between spirituality and our daily life. In the past we have offered talks on Ignatian spirituality, the documents of Vatican II, faith and the short stories of Flannery O'Connor, and faith in the marketplace, to name a few.
