Employment Support Network Meeting
Wednesday, July 15, 7pm, in the Fahey Center
The economic downturn our country is experiencing affects all of us in some way and to some extent. At Saint Clement we are aware that several parishioners have lost jobs, and the employment market looks bleak. As members of Christ’s Body, we are reminded of our need to care for one another, especially in times of stress and need. For this reason, we would like to establish an Employment Support Network for those who are out of work and seeking employment and those who may have information and/or resources to assist them in finding employment. Anyone interested in being part of this network is invited to meet on Wednesday, July 15 at 7pm in the Fahey Center. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Cele Doyle at maryd@stclementchurch.org or 773-281-0371 x 112.
Also, please note that the Career Transitions Center of Chicago provides professional, emotional and spiritual support to those seeking a job, looking for meaningful work, or otherwise undergoing a career transition. Visit www.ctcchicago.org for more information.
Chapel Mass Hiatus in August
Because presiders and many liturgical ministers are on vacation in August, we will combine the “human resources” from our Sunday 9:30am Masses into one Mass in the upper church. There will be no chapel Mass during the month of August. This change also offers a wonderful opportunity for the Chapel Choir to share their gifts in the upper church. If you are interested in giving choir participation a try, this is your chance! All are welcome to join the choir at 8:30am for a one hour rehearsal prior to Mass. Contact Kate Bradfield of the parish staff at musicministry@mac.com for more information. The warmth and spirit of the chapel liturgy are treasures in our community, and we look forward to resuming our regular Mass schedule over Labor Day weekend.
If you have any questions, please contact Flo Merkl-Deutsch, Liturgy Coordinator, at flo@stclementchurch.org.
